Abstract The perioperative anaesthetic management of a case COVID-19 pneumonia with multiple systemic comorbidities, posted for unilateral below knee amputation and debridement hand, poses uniquely challenging scenario the anaesthesiologist. We hereby report such which was managed successfully using ultrasound-guided popliteal wrist block along use high flow nasal cannula, incentive spirometry awake proning.

The porphyrias are inherited disorders of haem metabolism, acute attacks of which may be precipitated by anaesthesia, surgery and pregnancy.
